Alamo City Men's Chorale (ACMC)

Alamo City Men's Chorale embarks on its second decade as a musical ambassador for San Antonio's gay community. Since its beginning in 1987, ACMC has emerged as one of the city's most innovative and vibrant musical ensembles with a diverse repertoire that embraces classics, pops, spirituals, and new works. The 1997-98 season features three concerts plus performances as guest of the San Antonio Symphony as well as additional community appearances. The approximately 40 men who compose the all-volunteer, ethnically diverse singing membership annually donate more than 10,000 hours toward rehearsals, performances, fund-raising, and positions of leadership. As a community chorus, membership is open to all men age 18 and older who pass an audition, pay dues, and attend rehearsals regularly.

Dance & Mind Body Program

Through the dance, one will challenge the concept of being in control, and letting go at the same time. The search to achieve that balance can be the most important and challenging in the discipline of dance; to train the body to do what you want it to do, and at the same time be open to explore new directions or depths within.

¡Musica San Antonio festival!

We invite you to join us in celebrating the second ¡Musica San Antonio festival! This year's Festival theme is Josquin, Mozart, Gershwin and Their Contemporaries and will focus on the transitional artistic periods epitomized by the transcendant music of these three masters. We are very pleased to have added jazz concerts to this year's classical programs. More than 250 of the area's finest classical and jazz musicians have prepared programs that range from Renaissance motets to popular American music. Many musicians are returning for their second festival appearance...and many are joining us for the first time.
