L.A. Davids art work rises from the San Antonio night life with
its Tejano music and Mexican color.
He has taken the traditional San Anto "Burro" and made
it a powerful visual icon.
Born and raised in San Antonio, he developed his craft in the
streets and ice-houses as Tejano musicians played into the night.
His work is contemporary Chicano art, derived from "la Cultura"
and is un-bridled, running at full gallop through the dusty Tejano streets.
To see L.A. David's work in San Antonio, go to the
Joe Lopez studio/gallery, Gallista at 1913 S. Flores. The Gallista Gallery is one of San Antonio's center of contemporary
chicano art. See map to the gallery.
