ARTS SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS
The mission of the American Arts Alliance is to be the principal advocate for America's professional nonprofit arts organizations and their publics in representing arts interests and advancing arts support before Congress and other branches of the Federal government. To achieve this mission, the Alliance will inform legislators and policy makers of the vital role of the arts in American society, and advocate the development of national policies which recognize, enhance and foster the contributions that the arts make to America.
Americans for the Arts, (AFTA) is the leading national organization for groups and individuals dedicated to advancing the arts and culture in communities across the country, Americans for the Arts strives to make the art more accessible to every adult and child in the U.S. To this end,
Americans for the Arts works with cultural organizations, arts and business leaders and patrons to provide leadership, advocacy, visibility, professional development and research and information that will enrich support for the arts and culture in communities nationwide. Americans for the Arts has a National Policy Board is comprised of more than 80 national public policy leaders, advocates, and philanthropists from the corporate, government and nonprofit communities who inform the direction of Americans for the Arts, as well as provide valuable leadership for the arts and cultural life of the nation.
AIVF is a vital resource for independent video and filmmakers, providing programs and services as well as a sense of community. AIVF publishes a magazine and several books, maintain a library of media arts resources and sponsor events throughout the nation.

The National Council for the Traditional Arts (NCTA) is a private
not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the presentation and documentation of traditional arts in the United States. Founded in 1933, it is the nation's oldest producing and presenting organization that deals with folk, ethnic and tribal arts. Its programs celebrate and honor arts that are deeply rooted cultural expressions-- music, crafts, stories and dance.
Opera America's membership includes 157 Professional Company Members around the world, plus 231 Affiliate and Business Members, and over 1,600 Individual Members from 48 US states, 7 Canadian provinces, and 19 countries abroad, representing Australia, Asia,
Europe, Africa, North America, and South America. It also provides advocacy and awareness programs, information resources and database access.
VSA is a nonprofit organization with affiliates throughout the United States and in 90 other countries. The organization's mission is to promote the creative power in people with disabilities.
