ARTS INFORMATION NETWORKS
Arts Wire is an online network of artists, arts workers, arts organizations and arts funders. It provides professional level access to current news and information relating to the arts informed discussion of arts-related issues the latest listings of grants, exhibition opportunities, and jobs in the arts a forum for creating and experiencing online art a powerful communications tool, with technical assistance for users of all skill levels the Internet and World Wide Web.
LA Culture Net makes arts and cultural information available over the Internet and supports collaborations among cultural and educational organizations and the private sector. Initiated by the Getty Information Institute in 1995, LA Culture Net began as a series of discussions among a handful of Los Angeles' cultural organizations. It has expanded into an initiative that incorporates the perspectives, needs, and resources of its key constituents -- schools, businesses, universities, local governments, museums, independent creators, and community centers. LA Culture Net is a three-year pilot project which runs from July 1996 to June 1999.
TXARTS.net supports Texas non-profit arts and cultural organizations by providing them with a place to publish their web site for free. This service extends to non-profit statewide service organizations that support the non-profit arts and cultural organizations in Texas. TXARTS.net was established on the heals of the successful Texas Cultural and Arts Network, a project of the Texas Commission on the Arts. It is a collaborative project between the Community Resource Center, a project of the Metropolitan Austin Interactive Network and the Texas Commission on the Arts.
